First things first, if you are new to Christina Lauren know that this is a pen name for the amazing soulmate/brain twin duo that writes these Young Adult / Adult books. It astounds me that two people wrote this so perfectly and fluidly. This was my first Christina Lauren read and let’s just say I am currently already reading another. Twice In A Blue Moon, a stand alone contemporary romance, is due out October of this year.

I want every wish he ever makes to be for this. A penny in a fountain. The first star. An eyelash. 11:11. Just for one more time.

Did someone say second chance love trope? Amazing character development? Hollywood culture? Here For It. Tate and Sam meet in London when Tate is 18 and Sam is 21. Instantly I was whisked away to my own youth full of Mary Kate and Ashley movies and the love stories I grew up craving. You get a full back story before advances 14 years when Tate and Sam may have another chance at love.

I started and finished this book in one day. Yes, it was that captivating. I am a character driven reader and this book did not disappoint me in any way. It was exactly the story I was looking for, full of love and lust, but also nuance and depth. There is THE plot, and then many captivating subplots in between. Tate’s relationship with her own parents, with her grandmother; Sam’s relationship with him caretakers and family. All of it is complicated, messy, and immensely satisfying. Don’t get me wrong, I love a shallow and sexy love story from time to time, but I am so glad this was so much more.

If I’m being honest, I’m still swooning over this story. Do yourself a favor and add it to your TBR. Fair warning, it will be difficult to put down.
